Requiem Lag Patch
I have been working with the US team to find the lag issues in the client but until things are fixed I made a patch that will fix the client lag in Auto IT

Where it is made in Auto IT some Antivirus applications will flag it as Gen:Trojan.Heur.AutoIT.4

What I did to find the lag was watch the process with process monitor and see what i/o reads the client was requesting that it was looking for in the root of the install directory.
What I did to fix it was place the files that it was looking for in the root or in folders to stop the loop of it looking for the files.
You should see a reduction of lag in FOC,SVS,TB,most towns and the lag from skills will be gone
This is tested and stable in the US client but it should work with the SEA client as well

Sorry, but patch not working. Because Requiem works only with VDK files. You must repack VDK (or hook unpacking proc).

not true open requiem and then monitor it with process monitor and watch for the file not found errors in the log.

The reason for this is that the actor folder is missing files so the client will break operation and look in the root install folder for the missing file
Unpack actor.vdk and see if you see these files :)

the patch is doing the following things:
Putting missing files in directories that the client is looking for (ie Actor\M_Dragonskel\01\M_Dragonskel01.bde)
extracting the texture files from the skills .nif and putting them in the root (the skills texture files are in a directory above the .nif so it has to do a file search for the .dds)

test with process monitor and see for your selfs that the i/o writes to the hard disk out side of the virtual disk is a big reason for the lag

I tested it, something really changed...Good work.

For those who do not like to look at code here are the "missing" files that the client is calling for that are not in the proper locations or are actually not in the vdk's
With these added it will cut down on the hard drive i/o reads while the client keeps looking for the files and also should increase the FPS.
This should give you a little more understanding of what this patch is doing.
All of these files were found while I roamed the zones with process monitor running to monitor the disk activity to see where my lag was coming from
After I added these files to the locations that the client was asking for my lag went down about 60%.
The rest of the lag that I can see are from the texture files not being in the same folder/sub folder as the .nif that is calling it so I placed those in the requiem install folder and that cut down on 39% more lag

im not fixing the vdk's because that would take a few months to add in all the textures to the .nif files and while I would do this they would be adding in the new data for Rozen and I would have to keep working to keep it up to date
I am working with the dev team to get these things fixed so this is just a temporary solution until they are able to get all of the lag issues addressed
They did adjustments to the actors in the last patch so some things may now be fixed but I will have to start testing the client again to make sure.
I know that they still have not touched the skills or the towns so this will still address those issues

Sorry for my english... I installed this patch on the russian client. Honestly saw both positive and negative sides. In the first place in the Requiem now A lot of files, secondly inside all the buildings the floor was black, but there was light from the torches, the shadows of the tables and other garbage. Thirdly, i became less lag with a large screen resolution, at 1400x900 i now play with the same success, as before at 1024x768.

Извиняюсь за свой английский... Я установил этот патч на русский клиент. Честно говоря увидел и положительные, и отрицательные стороны. Во-первых в папке Реквиема теперь ОЧЕНЬ много файлов, во-вторых внутри всех зданий пол стал чёрный, но зато появился свет от факелов, тени от столов и прочая фигня. В-третьих у меня стало меньше лагать при большом разрешении экрана, на 1400x900 я теперь играю с таким же успехом, как и раньше на 1024x768.
