    Trainers attaching to hidden processes?

Is it possible? If so could someone give me a direction on how to do it?

An old trick was run an Apache server (or something similar), overwrite GameGuard with an older (or obsolete) version and have a dummy GameGuard files reroute (?) to localhost by editing hosts file.

    Effectively neuters GameGuard.

The files need to be locked... or something so GameGuard can't overwrite the old ones as it updates (analogy I've been told is, it detects the old files, gets the updates, but can't do anything with the new ones since it can't replace the old ones). Since this also is relevant to my interests, I'm digging through old archives myself, but I study haematology, not coding or some pointer stuff.

A link that you may be able to understand, because the entire thing went past my head.
