Metin Granny2 Animations Converter gr2 2.6 to gr2 2.4
Hi all, this tool can change the sdk version of a gr2 3d model, it is important for the gr2 animations because the sdk version 2.4.0.7 it isn't release anywhere :3
for example whith this sdk version you can get animation work in metin2
What's sure, though, is that this converter will enable the creation of gr2 files that will be perfectly compatible with the ORIGINAL Metin2 graphics engine.
What's so good about this tool is that you won't need to replace anything in your client, as you instead have to when using the new-DLL method, and, furthermore, it won't slow down your client.

Granny2 Animations in 2.4 format - GrannyConverter by ricky92
Hello everyone!
Today I'll gift you with a release that I've jealously kept only for me up to now: my gr2 animations converter!
What does this program do?
Well, it's pretty easy: it reads a gr2 file exported with the 2.6 exporter and it converts it into the 2.4 format, adapting it perfectly and making it compatible with the Metin2 client.
Some may be wondering why I've decided to release it, but the answer seems really obvious: a method to use the 2.8 DLL of Granny3D has been released by tim66613, thus making it possible for everyone to create their own animations. This has clearly voided the work I had put into my converter, and I must admit that it wasn't really "easy" to accept losing the exclusive of being able of making new animations: I think this big change in the world of Metin2 Client Modding will probably damage new upcoming private servers, as we will probably be seeing servers with new mobs put in them with no apparent logical criteria.
Why am I bringing performance in? Well, probably some people will already know that the Granny3D engine converts files with a different format at runtime: this, especially in this case (the 2.4 format is noticeably different from the 2.8 one, so the conversion process will take more time and it will be heavier to run), can cause performance loss for the client. Conversion of every single file would be needed, and for "every single file" I mean even files made by Ymir, and that wouldn't be a nice and funny work to do, I guess!
So, having said all this, I'll leave you all the download link. I hope you will make good use of this, and if you find this little tool useful even just a "Thank you" would mean much to me.
