What I've played and I enjoyed most was TheCrims which is very good, FallenSword Game Browser is also a very good, you even have to make it work, I recommend!

Lord of Ultima is good strategy game ;)
Good game is Forge of Empires
Now is beta , but i think it will be the best browser-based strategy game .
Try Drakensang Online(diablo like gaming), Gilfors Tales(mmorpg tactics), Serenia Fantasy(almost like a ragnarok online)
these games are my favorite! :)

Theres a couple of good ones actually off the top of my head theres Sherwood, Runescape (obviously), Kongai, Crystal Saga, Critter Forge, Realm of the mad god you can also find a list that goes on in kongregate in the MMO section ;)
